Flipped Model

In a flipped model of instruction, students partake in learning outside of the classroom, either during independent study or at home, by watching of videos, researching concepts and ideas, or working collaboratively with their peers. This model allows students to control the pace that they work at and lets them choose the environment in which to learn. Students then come into the classroom with prior understanding and knowledge that they then put into practice with the teacher. Class time is spent asking questions, reviewing concepts, and ensuring that each student fully understands the content, all while engaging in activities with a support system comprised of the teacher and fellow students.
